Elle

Elle
Elle (1993 - 24th February 2007)

We met little Elle when she was only a little puppy and we knew she was the one when she licked our hands through the cage at The Lost Dogs’ Home in North Melbourne.

Throughout the years spent at her Newport residence, Elle learnt to sit, lay down, shake hands, roll over and throw her dish. She was spoilt in every way from left overs to Schmackos and sleeping on beds to her thousand toys received.

Elle passed away peacefully at home and will be sadly missed by all of the family - John, Marc & Sara and especially by her cockatoo friend Henry and two cat friends Minky and Ojay.

Ella

Ella
My dog, my best friend, like a child. xx RIP Chupii xx. 1/7/05 - 1/2/07.

Ella (black lab x staffy) - the most loving and outgoing dog you could ever come by. She was always happy and ready for whatever life threw at her, sadly my best-friend got hit by a car on the 1st of Febuary 2007. It was so hard to let go of something so special and close to my heart. Everyday was full of treasured moments, I can’t tell you just how much she is missed. Still hoping Ghia returns to us safe and sound (lost on same date) - purebred female staffy, brindle with white chest.

Loved by all. Rest in peace Chupii. . . love always Mum (Caitlin), Grandma Tracey, Grampa Stu and Uncle Matt.

Babez

Babez (Jack Russell) died 4-12-2006 aged 8. With me since April 14th 1997.

Babez, from the first to the last time I held you I knew you were something special, my princess, my girl you will always be. You are a one of a kind dog and I will never ever find another one like you. We got to grow up together and you were always there for me to hug and to hold. I still have your puppy teeth and even though letting you go was the hardest thing, I know you are in a better place now and one day I will be with you again. You will always be in my heart.

Lulu

Lulu was a very friendly kelpie/shepherd cross who lived to fetch the ball/stick no matter how tired or sick she was. Born on Valentine’s Day, she grew up in Pheasant Creek and spent many years swimming in the dam while her brother Mitch looked on. Lulu was full of energy and light and in recent years very bravely survived two massive liver cancer operations but sadly was killed by a train on Feb 6th - a week before her 16th birthday.

I am truly honored that I had the daily joy and love of such a devoted and loyal little friend for so many years. You will always be remembered and loved my dearest LULU- I hope you are with Jezza my sweet furry friend. Missing you so very much, Rose and your brother Mitch.

Tyra

Tyra (Boxer): 14/01/1997 - 10/02/2007. Acquired from the Australian Animal Protection Society (Keysborough) in March 1997. With us for 10 years.

To a very much loved member of our family. We will sorely miss seeing your beautiful face, enjoying your company and affection. You were always there for us when we needed you, if only we could have done more to help you. We know that you had to go but you have taken our hearts with you. Zero is missing his big sister and we are all missing our little girl. You were always the perfect angel and now you’re in heaven where you belong. We will always remember, love and cherish you and every moment we had with you.

Shara

Shara was a Lhasa Apso x Maltese who passed away on January 4th 2007, after being diagnosed with Liver Cancer only three weeks earlier. She was only 6 years old. Shara belonged to my Dad, Kevin and was his shadow. He bought her from a pet shop when she was only 6 weeks and they were inseparable. She lived her life in Ferntree Gully, Victoria, along with her best friends Rocky & Kimba. She had three litters and I have one from her first, Chloe Moo.

It broke Dad’s heart to have to put her to sleep but there was nothing we could do. She was everything to him, always meeting him after work and sleeping on his clothes at night. We buried her out the back in her bed with her favourite T-shirt. Life just isn’t the same.

We miss you angel, not the same visiting anymore. Rest in peace baby girl. xoxo

Buddy

Buddy

Buddy came to us out of a ‘free to a good home’ ad in the local paper as a Christmas present when I was 11. My mother and I went to pick him up as a 4 month old at a young couples house. They opened the door and a black and white border collie ball of energy ran past us, out of the front door and onto the road. He survived and so began our 17 year story of a girl and a dog.

He was my best friend for 17 years, always wanting to run, always eager to please, always by my side, always speeding a little ahead of my push bike, always jumping in the dam and picking the wrong, rocky places to climb out and always there for me.

On the 4th of August 2006, I made the decision to help Buddy leave this world. He could no longer get up on his own, would no longer eat and was in complete pain with arthritis. A harder and more painful decision I have never had to make. The vet came to our home and he died in my arms at 17 years of age.

To my beautiful boy, rest in peace. I hope you can now run joyously with the wind in your face like you once did.

Love you always, Tam
