Sam

Sam

This is a photo of our Sam on his pet friendly holiday back in 2002 at Johanna Beach. Sam came to us as an abused and very sick little dog. He became my soul mate and best friend. Sam was with us for 11 years and one week to the day; he came into my life on a Sunday, (Mother’s Day, 1995) and left us on Sunday the 21st May, 2006. Sam was a male Shih-Tzu, and was a very gentle, loving and placid dog. We all miss him very much, and think about him every day. Sam, you may have gone to Heaven, however we know that a love like ours knows no boundaries, travels over every plain, and lights up the night time sky to twinkle every star in the Heaven above. Thank you for coming to us, and giving us eleven wonderful years of unconditional love, friendship and priceless memories. May you continue to watch over us, and enjoy your milo’s in Heaven. Love you moon face , Irene, John, Merryn, Cailin, Peggy and Jock… (Taylors Lakes, Vic)

Kaffir

Kaffir
Kaffir: Aug 1987 to Dec 5th 2006. Aged 19 yrs, 4 mths.

Kaffir was a Border Collie Staffordshire/Heeler Labrador cross, whom we got off a friend when his dog had her first litter. We picked her out at birth. Kaffir gave us so much joy, she saw my fiance and I get married, was with me throughout both my pregnancies and has been with our children while they grew. Kaffir lived in Sunbury Vic, and loved to chase ball even in 40 degree heat, loved her walks and rides in the car. She loved polishing off our dinner plates and a good snooze in front of the heater on a cold night. She never jumped on the furniture although in her senior years, she would sleep on the couch, I didn’t mind after all it is warmer on her bones and away from the chill in the floor. She just passed peacefully, I had the feeling that it was her time, and the kids said their goodbyes just before school. I got home from dropping the children at school. She was just taking her last few breaths, I called my husband in from the lounge and together we held her as she passed on. It has been the saddest day and weeks since then. I will miss you forever my beautiful black pup.

Fang

Fang died Friday the 12th of January 2007. Fang was the most outgoing dog in the world, she ran and ran. One week ago she started laying down a lot and not eating, I rushed her to the vet and she was put down two days later. She was never sick, never complained.

Fang I love you so very much, you were my best friend and would have saved your life if I could have. I can’t believe you were taken so quickly, only last week you were chasing the ball. Please be waiting for me in heaven. I will see you there. You are my best friend. You were only 12 and a half.

Love you, your big sister and friend.
