Wilma

Domestic short hair, cat, ginger and white in colour. Wilma left our lives at the age of 13 years and 7 months on Wednesday 25th October 2006. Wilma came to us upon being weaned from his mum at the age of 8 weeks. I witnessed Wilma’s birth and his first weeks of life as his mum was my sister’s cat. Wilma was a much loved family member of the Hennessy household and certainly loved his home in Romsey. He had his spot in the family room or anywhere else he wanted to sleep really. His favourite was at the end of my bed. Wilma was to be our most beautiful boy, never a demanding boy, never thought about hastling the wildlife, he just wanted to be with us. Wilma was given a girls name as my 2 yr old son enjoyed the Flinstones back in 1993 and we thought he was a she when we named him. We love you Wilma and will never forget the happy and wonderful times we had with you.

Horrie (Horace)

Horrace

Horrie (Horace) died too young at 11 years, last Friday 27 Oct. He was the leader of the pack from his coming to live with me at 3 years of age from the Mornington Peninsula animal shelter. He was a barker, wicked, adorable and loved a cuddle.

He became an epileptic this June and after an overwhelming episode last week, (cared for by the fantastic team at the Korumburra Vet Clinic) he lost his fight with the probable cause (cancer).

We miss him very much as he was a true friend and beloved companion to us and our other two dogs.

Karma

Karma (staffy) was loved by all who met her. She loved cuddles, dancing, belly rubs, and going in the car. She was a great mum, a great friend, and my furbaby. She will be sadly missed (but her memory kept alive) by her daughter Rua, and by daughter Bundy and son Bo, who all turn 1 next month.

Karma, you were my support at a time when I felt I had nothing, and all you ever asked for in return was love. You let me witness the birth of your 7 puppies, and from there you gave us Rua, who made it home safe but misses your company and your grooming. You loved to talk to me, answering my question of “how was your day?” with grumbles and groans. I will miss you always.

“The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too.” - Samuel Butler (1835 1902)
